AGHA is implementing a maternal health campaign in two districts Nwoya and Soroti in North and Eastern Uganda. The project aims at improving maternal, sexual and reproductive health through the rights based approach among rural communities in Uganda. Activities implemented so far include meeting with community health structures such as Village Health Teams, health facility management committee members, radio talk shows, community sanitization, and dialogue meetings between health workers, health consumers and policy makers at the district. This project hopes to achieve three results areas of access and utilization of maternal health services, awareness and demand of maternal health services in the health facilities and feedback and redress mechanisms.
